Prof. Dr. Jörg Knoblauch
Born in Giengen, Germany in 1949, Jörg Knoblauch received his MBA and Ph.D. in social economics after completing degrees in engineering and business economics.
Prof. Knoblauch is the President of the time planning system „tempus", headquartered in Giengen, Germany. In addition, he leads the companies „persolog" (global distributor of the famous DISC-personality-profile) and tempus-Consulting.
He holds a faculty position for leadership theory at the technical college in Nürtingen, Germany and teaches at several universities inside and outside of the country. He is also involved in countless voluntary endeavors, including his position as charmain of the „Association for Promoting Economic Partnership" and his role on the board of the „German Management Corporation". He is also active in management training internationally.
The new concepts for personal motivation and business philosophy which Prof. Knoblauch has employed have proven particularly effective. His efforts in his novel business ideas in managing tempus were recognized by Germany's Minister of Commerce, Dr. Günter Rexrodt, with the „Best Factory Award" in 1997. This award is presented by a collection of businesses (including „Deutsche Bank") to the best managed German company. 2002 the company gained the famous German award „Ludwig-Erhard-Preis” (in the US known as Malcum Baltridge-Award).
As a commited Christian, Prof. Knoblauch serves as international board member of „Fellowship of Companies for Christ International" (FCCI). He is also largely responsible for the development of the successful church planting endeavor within the national Lutheran church known as „OASIS", which has established young families as its target audience.
Prof. Knoblauch has written nearly 30 books which are translated in a dozen languages mainly addressing business management issues. Over 400,000 copies have been sold to date.
